Hi!

Welcome to my blog! I document my adventures in life, travel, style, Disney, food and business. Thanks for stopping by!

We're Engaged!

We're Engaged!

After being together for 10 years, Michael and I are finally engaged! Well, we have been engaged for almost 2 years, (read our engagement story here) but I just started this blog....so ya know! But yes, after 10 years the moment has arrived! Have I started planning you ask...? Yes, I have. Then I have had to stop, and I started again and then stopped. There is just too much going on at this moment, it's better if we wait. We have one current business, 6th Avenue Jewelers and are in the process building out our second, ...salt... But I mean, after 10 years together and about 2 years engaged, who's really counting? Plus, I want our wedding to be perfect. I don't want to feel rushed or like I didn't fully put my all into planning it. So we are waiting. Even though Michael and I were talking the other day and I may start planning for next year......eekkk!!

Of course I had to take this photo right away! I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan! "The Unbreakable Vow"

However, I did know when we got engaged (February 22, 2015) that it would be a while before we were actually able to tie the knot (we were in the process of building our current business) and I really wanted to capture that moment of where we were in our lives, so I scheduled an engagement shoot with Ash & Meadow Photography. It was lovely.

I had three different photo shoot ideas in mind and they all turned out exactly how I imagined them.

Shoot #1 - White Tee's & Jeans / Boardwalk Ice Cream

White Tee & Jeans - TJ Maxx

White Shoes - Michaels' ($4.00......Yep, pretty awesome!)

Shoot #2 - Black Dress with Hat / Boardwalk & Beach

Black Hat - Target

Black Dress - TJ Maxx

Black Pumps - Charlotte Russe

Shoot #3 - Creme Dress / Under Trees & Dirt Road

Dress - TJ Maxx

Shoes - Charoltee Russe

Can you tell I love TJ Maxx? They are in the same plaza as our jewelry store and I go there every week. They have cute clothes AND its cheap! What is not to love?

I have another photo shoot planned, it is more formal, for next year! I can't wait for it! I will post that one also when it happens!
